Getting to know Sunset Strip

There has been extensive residential development in the hills above Sunset since the 1920s. Shortly after Prohibition was repealed, nightclubs like the Trocadero began to appear on West Hollywood’s soon-to-be-legendary Sunset Strip. In the ‘60s, the Roxy, the Whisky and other clubs were the epicenter of the West Coast rock scene. Today, the area is home to colorful, creative and diverse clusters of communities. They include the highest concentration of celebrities in Los Angeles, who enjoy privacy and the best views in the city.
